Providing the things that make a difference
Callum’s Trust is here to provide the little things (and sometimes the not so little things) that make a difference. This could be something as simple and practical as a mattress protector or something to keep you in touch with your friends whilst undergoing treatment; like top-up cards for internet access. Perhaps a portable DVD player would break up a hospital stay or funded dog walking service might take the pressure off at home.
We hope to encourage patients and carers to get in touch with feedback about their experiences so that we can provide more effective resources to make a difficult time a little easier.
Our Main Aims
The main aims of Callum’s Trust, as set out in our constitution, are:
To raise funds to provide equipment and resources to patients who are:
- receiving treatment for lymphoma, leukemia or myeloma within the Scottish Borders
- receiving end of life cancer care at home within the Scottish Borders
To provide resources for the side rooms in Ward 6 of the Borders General Hospital
To provide funds to any charity involved in the development of a Hospice within the Scottish Borders.
go on… do something amazing
Unfortunately almost all of us will know someone whose life has been touched by cancer so we hope that we can encourage as many people as possible to join us in one of our fun events or to get out there and do something amazing to raise some money – go on, do something you have never done before…
